Germany passport and identity card photo size and requirements
The Germany passport and identity card photo is 35 x 45 mm, with the head 32 to 36 mm (bottom of the chin to the top of the head (optimal face height, age 10 and over)). Checked against the official source on 2 October 2026.

Why there is no maker for this one: Since 1 May 2025 German passports and ID cards applied for in Germany accept only digital photos taken at the authority or sent by a registered photographer through the secure cloud; you cannot hand in your own file or print. Paper photos remain possible only at some missions abroad.
