What it means
Gmail blocked the message because its content or attachments present a potential security issue (for example viruses or harmful software).
Why it happens
- The message has an attachment of a blocked file type (executables such as .exe, .dll, .bat, .jar, .js and many others).
- A message without attachments contains content, images or links that might share viruses.
How to fix it
- Remove blocked file types from the message (see Gmail's list in File types blocked in Gmail).
- If the file is safe, upload it to Google Drive and send it as a Drive attachment or link.
- Remove or replace suspicious links and content, then resend.
