A3E Ecosystem / Guides / Shopify inventory
Shopify retired Stocky after August 31, 2026. Here is what moved into Shopify admin, what didn't, and the quickest way to get a supplier's invoice into stock now.
Stocky was Shopify's own app for purchase orders, receiving and stocktakes, mostly used by stores on Shopify POS. Shopify stopped offering it after August 31, 2026 and moved the core jobs into Shopify admin: suppliers, purchase orders, receiving, transfers and inventory adjustments now live under Products → Purchase orders and Transfers.
Old Stocky purchase orders and stocktakes did not move across on their own, so if you still need that history, keep the exports you made before the shutdown.
The admin gives you somewhere to receive stock, but the supplier's invoice is still a document you read and retype:
If you received from supplier invoices in Stocky, steps 1 to 5 are exactly what A3E Receive does inside Shopify admin: you upload the PDF, photo or spreadsheet, it reads and checks every line, matches them to your products, and after you approve it adds the stock and sets cost per item including freight and duty.
Shopify made Stocky unavailable after August 31, 2026.
Yes. Suppliers, purchase orders, receiving and transfers are in Shopify admin, so you can receive stock against a purchase order without Stocky.
In Shopify admin, yes: you enter each line yourself. An app such as A3E Receive reads the invoice for you and lets you check and approve the lines before stock changes.
